Logo animation: Parmi Les Lucioles Films
I love those opportunities where you get to do something for the first time. This time, a logo animation for Parmi Les Lucioles Films!

A one-day challenge
Animating a logo may sound fairly simple, but designing and producing even one second of animation is always tricky without research or preparation. Just like the La Marmotte qui Sirote challenge, I had very little time for this project, if any at all. I had a single day to find an idea, pitch it, create the animation, submit it again, make the changes, and export all the renders.
Clear rules, clear frame!
Everything comes down to the client relationship: good communication is always the key to success. I made it clear from the start that the client couldn’t ask for endless changes, so I limited it to a single round of feedback. To be fair, on an 8 second animation, there wasn’t much more to ask for anyway.
I also pitched a first idea before the quote was even signed. Illustrating it with a quick storyboard, and with the help of Fuzz Design, the graphic designer who created the logo, let me zero in on exactly what to animate.
And finally, I warned that it couldn’t be a long or complex animation, given the time limit I was working with.
The result
In the end you always get there, and the result is the video above.
