Rampage is out in cinemas

After a 7 to 8 month assignment at Weta Digital in New Zealand, one of the 2 films I worked on is already out: Rampage!

After a 7 to 8 month assignment at the Weta Digital VFX studio in New Zealand, I’m finally back in France, in my beautiful Lyon region.

And it’s a great pleasure to see that one of the 2 projects I worked on in the land of kiwis is already out in cinemas. Enter the blockbuster Rampage! Here’s one of the film’s trailers, which includes a few of my shots. You can imagine how proud I am!

It really takes me back to my very first projects as a junior at Ubisoft Annecy, when the slightest bit of press about them felt extraordinary. These days I chuckle when I rewatch my animations from back then. The same will probably happen with Rampage… although… it’s Weta, so the quality should hold up over time.

Anyway, after nearly ten years in 3D animation (already! phew!), reconnecting with the excitement of a project was a real breath of fresh air. It’s not that you get bored, but over time everything loses a little flavour. And working with a hugely talented, adorable team from all over the world was the cherry on top.

Rampage opened in French cinemas on 2 May 2018. Directed by Brad Peyton, starring Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris and more.

P.S.: Honestly, it doesn’t look like much on paper, but it’s a genuinely funny film.
