For the Steep launch trailer, Ubisoft wanted to put its own people on screen. I was lucky enough to take part in the shoot and appear in the video!
One day of shooting, and around fifty technicians, stylists, camera operators and more were involved… I wasn’t expecting anything on that scale!
With two of my colleagues, who also appear in the trailer, we played improvised game architects. I’m slightly worried people will now think video games are built on architects’ drawing tables with tools from the 50s.
It really was an excellent experience! Seeing how a shoot unfolds was fantastic, even for a commercial. I can’t imagine the scale of a feature film.
